I just went to
http://www.nfbnet.org/download/blind.htm
and found a huge list of programs that interested me. i'd already downloaded some awhile ago but now found alot more that I want. But every single link that I tried was broken, even the ones that I'd already downloaded! Can anyone help me find these? All are for the blind. So I can't ask on the regular DOS forums. Even if you can't help me find them, perhaps, someone here will know where I can find some of their creators so I could ask them. I'm assuming that the Slot and Resume programs are from Jim Kitchen, who, thankfully, still has all of his DOS software up on his site. I'm not sure about the VocalEyes and ASAP set files, whether they were from their respective companies or made by users. if user-made, then I'd really like to learn how to do that. In any case, the ones with stars I want the most.

Vocal-Eyes 3.0 set files for Site Manager
Have you tried putting that url into the Internet Archive? That's my best suggestion, maybe an older version of the site will be able to retrieve the programs for you.
Opa! No, I didn't. Thanks. I hope that works.
Unfortunately, that didn't work. I'm not sure if it's because I'm using Firefox or if the Archive just can't locate the files. It certainly showed me several versions of the pages. But when I clicked on the links to start downloading the files, it made a noise like it was going to another page and then it did nothing. The good thing is that Charlie Crawford, one of the programmers mentioned on the page, actually contacted me because he heard of my general post for DOS tech that I sent to the ACB! He's willing to send me the programs that he's written and I've asked if he could send me some others if he has them. I also asked about DBASE and Clipper, since he told me that he used them to write some things. Until today, I didn't even know DBASE was a programming language and thought it was only a program for keeping records of things.
Yeah, I looked at it myself after I suggested you take a look at the archived pages. It's a shame, they had some useful text files on there too back in the day. Does anyone know if you can still get access to this site through the ftp server, and if so, what is the address?
screaming_turtle, you're a genius! Now that I've got the add-on to Firefox, I put the site in the Internet Archive again and it downloaded all the files I wanted plus a few extra that I decided to grab. Of course, it worked before but I didn't know because I had no sound cues etc. So happy!
Btw, I used the latest version of the site that they had.
